The WA Social Enterprise Council (WASEC) is the peak body for social enterprises in Western Australia, working to build a thriving sector of businesses that trade for social and environmental impact. This not-for-profit council provides leadership and a collective voice for the sector, focusing on three pillars: connecting social entrepreneurs to collaborate and share best practices, growing the capacity of social enterprises to scale their impact, and advocating for supportive policies and markets with government and corporates. Governed by a board of social impact leaders, WASEC runs initiatives like member networking events, a social enterprise incubator, and policy roundtables to advance the ecosystem. By championing purpose-led business models, WASEC aims to transition the economy towards one where social enterprise is the norm in WA.
